The art of making wine

The Cepas de Castilla winery is one of the oldest in the Ribera del Duero denomination of origin.

It was founded in 1956 by families of winegrowers settled in the municipality of San Juan del Monte under the name of Bodega Cooperativa Virgen de la Vega.

The vineyards are located on the banks of the River Duero at an altitude of 850 m, the centennial vines are characterized by being planted in poor soil, sand and pebbles with a clay and calcareous bottom.

The variety of its magnificent grapes is Tinta del País and Albillo.

The result is careful wines from the vine to its bottling through its elaboration that has managed to combine the tradition of years of making good wines with modern technologies and machinery for winemaking.
